The global steel market rose in July. During the reporting period, the global steel benchmark price index increased by 0.6% on a week-on-week basis (with convergence of growth), 0.6% month on month (from decline to rise), 11.3% month on month (decline convergence) and 12.4% year-on-year (year-on-year increase). Among them: flat steel index 89.7 points, week on week up 0.5% (increase convergence); long material index 109.9 points, week on week up 0.7% (convergence); Asia Index 109.3 points, week on week up 0.4% (convergence). In Asia, China's index rose 0.5% on a week-on-week basis at 112 points (the rise converged); the American index fell by 0.8% on a week-on-week basis at 92.9 points for the Americas; and 1.9% for the European index, which was 82.5 points.
