Shipbuilding steel plate is also called structural steel for hull. According to the minimum yield point, the strength level is divided into general strength hull structural steel and high strength hull structural steel. Shipbuilding steel plate refers to the hot rolled steel sheet for hull construction, which is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the Classification Society Construction Code. The general strength hull structural steel in the standards of China Classification Society are divided into four quality grades: A, B, D and E (CCSA, CCSB, CCSC and CCSD); and the high strength hull structural steel in the standards of China Classification Society are three strength grades and four quality grades.
Classification societies include China CCS, USA ABS, Germany GL, France BV, Norway DNV, Japan NK, UK LR, Korea KR, Italy RINA, etc.
Generally, general strength shipbuilding steel plate is divided into four grades: A, B, D and E. The yield strength (not less than 235 Mpa) and tensile strength (H400-520 Mpa) of these four grades are the same, but the impact work is different at different temperatures.
High strength shipbuilding steel plate is classified into strength grades according to its minimum yield strength, and each strength grade is classified into A, D, E and F according to its impact toughness.
The yield strength of AH32, DH32, EH32 and FH32 shipbuilding steel plate is not less than 315 Mpa, and the tensile strength is 4H40-570 Mpa. A, D, E and F indicate the impact toughness of AH32, DH32, EH32 and FH32 at 0 -, 20 -, H40 -, 60 -, respectively.
The yield strength of AH36, DH36, EH36 and FH36 shipbuilding steel plate is not less than 355 Mpa, and the tensile strength is 490-620 Mpa. A, D, E and F indicate the impact toughness of AH36, DH36, EH36 and FH36 at 0, 20, H40 and 60 degrees, respectively.
The yield strength of AH40, DH40, EH40 and FH40 shipbuilding steel plate is not less than 390 Mpa, and the tensile strength is 510-660 Mpa. A, D, E and F indicate the impact toughness of AH40, DH40, EH40 and FH40 at 0, 20, H40 and 60 degrees, respectively.
