For ASTM A131 grade B hull steel rolling, As rolled and Control Rolled is ok for A131 grade B steel plate with the thickness equal and belows 40 millimeters. For thickness above 40mm plate, the heat treatment shall be Normalised or TMCP, those two technical treatment would improve A131 grade B hull steel strength in yield and tensile points.
