ASTM A333 standard covers nominal wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipes intended for applications at low temperatures. Grades 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9 are alloy steel grade because heavier wall thickness have an adverse effect on low-temperature impact properties. ASTM A333 Grade 3 steel is similar to AISI4032 low alloy steel. ASTM A333 Grade3 steel pipe shall be made by the seamless or welded process with the addition of no filler metal in the welding operation. All A333 Grade3 alloy steel pipes shall be treated to control their microsructure. Tenisle tests, impact tests, hydrostatic tests and nondestructive electric testes will be taken in accordance to specified requirements.
